The iPhone's 4 retina display has the higher resolution of any phone on the market. It counts over 960 pixels down and 640 pixels. Other high-end devices like the HTC HD2 and Google nexus one have about 800 pixels down and 380 pixels. The result of the higher number of pixels is a larger pixel density, meaning that Apple fits more pixels in a square inch on the iPhone 4 as HTC nexus one or an HD2. That is, photos and text is super sharp and even apps that look full retina not pretty good support.
